VALENTINE'S DAY

Hello everyone!

As you know, last Friday, 14th of February, we celebrated Saint Valentine's day at school.

The pupils had Valentine's postboxes next to the doors of their classrooms, so they could send beautiful cards to friends, brothers, sisters, cousins, teachers... with nice poems or sentences of friendship. Look at the postboxes. They are great!

The pupils showed me some of their cards and they were really interesting. Some of the sentences I could read were:

  • Thank you for being my best friend.
  • You are my favourite friend.
  • Friends forever.
  • I enjoy spending time with you.
  • A good friend is difficult to find, harder to leave and impossible to forget.
  • Good friends are like stars. You can't always see them, but you know that they are...
Here you can see some cards the children received:

Carmen sent a card with a beautiful heart to her brother Daniel.

Ángel received two cards from some of his friends.

 Manuel is reading his card.

Noemi showing the card from her friend Marta.

Olympia is reading one of her cards.

That's all for now!

Have a nice day and see you soon :)

DRESSING UP!

Last week the 4th grade pupils dressed up for a party in the English classroom! They loved the activity. The boys and girls in this class had to describe each other. They played 'Who is who' and other funny games. Just look:

Here Carlos is describing a girl and the children try to guess who she is.

Everybody wants to participate.

The girls who have got glasses... stand up!

Look and guess: She's got glasses. She's got long blond hair. Who is this?.................... Beatriz!

He's got brown eyes. He's got curly hair. He's got short black hair. This is................. Paolo!

He's got blond hair. He's got glasses. He's got a cap. Who is this?................. Juan Antonio!

And here you can see Lili with two girls: Celia S. and Inma. But...who is who? Both of them have got long brown straight hair and glasses! They look like sisters!!! :)

We hope you like these activities about descriptions,
bye!

PEACE DAY

Good morning children!

Last Thursday, the 30th January was PEACE DAY:

And we worked on different activities to celebrate PEACE in the school.

For example, the pupils in 5th grade made a poster in which they could write interesting Peace pledges to keep them in mind every day. Just look:

And they could read these Peace pledges in order to listen to them with the rest of the pupils in the school:

Finally, we used that cards to decorate one of the stairs of our school. In this way we can see them every day and keep these peace pledges in mind easily!

On the other hand, the 6th grade pupils made a nice poster writing beautiful Peaful quotes by important people in the world.

The 4th grade children work on a nice song: 'I've got Peace in my fingers'. They could sing to pupils and teachers.

If you want to watch the video in which these children sing the song, go to the English classroom and ask to the teacher.

If you want to sing the song, here you can see the lyrics and the video of the author.

I've got PEACE, PEACE, PEACE in my fingers.
Watch what I can do.
I've got PEACE, PEACE, PEACE in my fingers.
I'm gonna shake hands with you.
(REPEAT)

I've got WORDS, WORDS, WORDS in my head.
Watch what I can do.
I've got WORDS, WORDS, WORDS in my head.
I'm gonna talk things over with you.
(REPEAT)

I've got LOVE, LOVE, LOVE in my heart.
Watch what I can do.
I've got LOVE, LOVE, LOVE in my heart.
I'm gonna give some to you.
(REPEAT)

I've got PEACE, PEACE, PEACE in my fingers.
WORDS, WORDS, WORDS in my head.
I've got LOVE, LOVE, LOVE in my heart.
I'm gonna give some to you!

That's all for now! See you soon :)
