THANKSGIVING DAY

Each year, Americans celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday on the fourth Thursday of November. Here is one of the most common traditions associated with "Turkey Day."

Traditional foods are a large part of Thanksgiving celebrations. Many families include the entire family in the food preparation. Traditional foods include turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Many people serve pie for dessert at the end of the meal. Popular pie flavors are pumpkin, pecan, sweet potato, and apple.

And do you know why Americans celebrate Thanksgiving?  Look and listen to this video:

Our new language assistant, Lili, is from America. So, she celebrates Thanskgiving every year. Last November, the 28th she prepared a nice activity with the 2nd grade pupils to celebrate Thanksgiving day. They could draw their own turkeys and write sentences to say thank you.

Look! I'm sure you'll like it:

They enjoyed a lot the activity

All the works

Good work! Congratulations ;)
